Nat sighed in contentment as she sank down onto the sofa in front of the fireplace, closing her eyes for a moment. It was great to be back at Hogwarts, and this year promised to be more exciting than the last what with the Triwizard Tournament coming up. The other schools would no doubt be arriving in a few weeks, and she couldn't wait to meet all the foreign students, especially the boys! That didn't mean that they were all she was interested in when it came to the Tournament, however. No way. She was going to put her name in that Goblet. She knew she probably wouldn't get chosen, and she would graciously accept that if it came to be. But she wanted the chance. The chance to prove herself just as capable as the students in the year above her, the year she should have been in if only she was born a couple of days earlier. She would be as old as them tomorrow, September 2nd, and yet she was a year behind them academically.
Still, she couldn't change things so she just had to accept them. She opened her eyes and looked at the fire, which was not yet lit. Grinning, she pulled her wand from her pocket and pointed it at the fireplace and muttered "Incendio", her grin widening as the logs in the fireplace caught light. It felt so good to be able to use magic again! A whole summer being unable to use it really wasn't as much fun as it could be!
