Malory pushed open the door to her new office and smiled as she looked around. It was bare, having been empty since the previous Transfiguration Professor left, but that would definitely change. She grinned as she pulled a framed photo of her and her family from her bag and walked over to place it on the desk, facing her seat. There was another seat on the opposite side of the desk, which would be used when she needed to meet with students or, on occasions, other members of staff.
She returned to her bag and summoned the filing tray from it's depths, placing this on the desk in the opposite corner to the one which now had the family photo. This, like her office, was bare at the moment, but would quickly fill up as she began teaching. The filing tray was 8 trays high, one for each year group and an extra one for anything else she may need to keep record of. She had never been the most organised person, but she was determined to change that. The past year had been one she wished never to repeat, and so she was going to prove to herself that she could sort her life out. She was only 25. She had barely begun to live. She could, and would, make the next part of her life better than the last part had been.
