| Ajax slumped into his spinny chair, book covering his face as he gestured for everyone to sit down in their seats. A quiet bark to his side made him look down, only to see his most favorite companion, Sam, looking at him with adoring eyes. “Uh-huh. I know, class started.” Lazily, he stood up and stretched, mouth opening in a slight yawn as his spine cracked. A few seconds later he straightened and shuffled in front of his desk, eyes lazy.
“Hello class.” He drawled out, apparently not really caring about who was there. “My name is-“ He paused, mid sentence to give a contagious yawn, before continuing as if he never stopped. “Ajax Hirsch. I don’t really care what you call me, though if you want to insult me.” He slipped his wand idly behind his ear. “You’d have to do it when not in hearing range of Sam here.” At his side, said fox growled threateningly, showing off rather sharp fangs.
"All right." He reached behind his self and pulled out a sheet of paper from his many folders. "When I call your name, I want you to say here, then tell us a fact about yourself. And I don't want-" Another yawn escaped him. "I don't want any ones like, 'I'm a pureblood.' I want something like, 'I watch mundane soap operas when my parents don't know.' that." He scratched his arm absently.
"Okay. First up is... Ayame Osagawa." The foreign name rolled fluently off his tongue.
"Next is- Alastair Voltaire." He checked the boy's name.
And the names continued well on into class...

"Okay. First up is... Ayame Osagawa."
Ayame smiled up at him from the first row. It wasn't that she was a teacher's pet, but being as short as she was, sitting behind taller people and trying to see the class in front of them could sometimes be not only hard, but rather annoying. And of course, to save herself the trouble, she just sat in the front.
"Here!" The fifth year girl called out energetically. "I'm the niece of the school Healer.. Though some might know that since she's been here since I was.. But.." her head tilted slightly like a confused puppy, trying think of something interesting. It was amazing how she couldn't think of anything, her life was nothing but interesting. When it came to Ayame and her aunt Momoko, there was never a dull moment. "Uh.. I've lived seven different countries all over Europe and Asia? That includes Japan, where I was born and lived till I was about four."
The smile on her lips lingered for a few moments before looking down at the quill in front of her. Oh God, she thought, that was boring, wasn't it?

| Ajax yawned lightly, opening one eye with lazy energy. Slowly, he stretched, arching his back and wincing a bit at the resulting crack.
"As I said, I don't really care what you call me-" Sam at his side growled slightly, as if saying, You should. "But I don't want any slaking in my class. It will be your fault if you want to receive a T or an D in here. If you need help ask me, I'll always be here to help." His speech, while surprising, was ruined by the rather large yawn that made his eyes water up slightly.
"Now- the first spell we'll be learning in class will be the Silencing Charm. Used by many teachers when their students are being idiots." He peered around the classroom with shrewd eyes before closing them and leaning backwards against his desk. "The wand movements-" He took his wand in hand and gave a, shockingly graceful, stab. "Are designed so you wont end up stuck to the ceiling as another fool did in my class before hand." He slipped the wand back behind his ear as he started to lecture, a small yawn interrupting in between words.
"Silencio-" Yawn. "Is derived from the Spanish word silencio which means silence. Though I have heard from many of my-" Yawn. "Friends that it's also Latin. 'Silen' for silence. And 'Cio' which means start. So-" Yawn. "You have, Silence Start. Both of them may be used for different spells." He paused before shrugging. "The Latin part maybe mistaken, though Jina didn't think so."
Ajax went back to his desk, kicking back in his chair and sliding a book over his face. "If you need help-" Yawn. "Please ask. I don't want to wake up and find my class destroyed."

| "If you need help, please ask. I don't want to wake up and find my class destroyed."
Ayame looked around sheepishly, noticing that someone she called her best friend wasn't there. Great, who was she to partner up with? A lot of the students didn't talk to her after they found out all of her friends in Japan were all Muggles. Of course, most of the people at the school were half-bloods or less, but that didn't stop them from freaking out about Muggles. For whatever reason, Muggles were quite looked down upon by Durmstrang as it had been that way for centuries. Of course, a lot of it was that the school was for many years that they wanted blood purity.
Eventually, the small girl who only stood at five feet and one inch made her way over to a girl who had always been nice to her. "Gretta, do you mind if we partner up? It seems that everyone else has, well, another partner in mind," she smiled sweetly. Her smile grew even more once the girl agreed to her offer.
"You should probably try the spell first, I'm shit at this." Gretta's German accent stuck out quite a bit compared to what Ayame's was. In fact, she didn't even know what her accent was, she lived over way too many countries to certain accent. It was for the most part some odd Japanese and Irish mix when she spoke English that she had picked up from her aunt who learned most of her English in Ireland. It was certainly unique, that's for sure.
"I'm sure you're not that bad at all. But sure, if that's what you want." She took out her wand and did the wand movements that Professor Hirsch had shown them before saying, "silencio."
As Ayame looked at the girl expectingly, hoping that she was silent, the girl tried to speak to check the spell's affect but soon found herself quacking like a duck. Both of their eyes widened as Ayame called out loudly to the professor in a frantic voice.

| "Professor!" His head hit the table with a loud, 'thump'. Only muffled by the fact millions of paper littered his desk. Damn paperwork. He turned his head to the side and groaned loudly at what he saw... er- heard. Gretta, whatever her last name was, was quacking like a duck. "Why did I know this was going to happen?" He grumbled irritably. Ajax rubbed the arch if his nose, trying to ward off the headache brewing behind his eyes.
"I saw what you were doing GB." GB as in Ayame Osagawa, a nick name that he would never explain to her. "Your wand is suppose to stab, not flick." He explained as patiently as he could, suppressing the yawn that wanted to come out. "And when saying your words, Silencio." He flicked his wand forward and Gretta was able to talk once more... without quacking. "When you say Silencio-" This time the yawn did come out. "Si- is pronounced like you're saying SEE. You said the middle part right though Cio is said, SEE-O."
With that, he sat down nearby to watch and make sure GB didn't make a mistake again.

| "I saw what you were doing GB. Your wand is suppose to stab, not flick. And when saying your words, Silencio. When you say Silencio- Si- is pronounced like you're saying SEE. You said the middle part right though Cio is said, SEE-O."
"Right.." She nodded slowly, trying to remember that. Her accent made pronouncing words correctly sometimes rather difficult. Sometimes, it was more difficult than necessary. The fifth year turned to her fellow classmate and frowned, bowing deeply to her, showing how sorry she was and asked for her forgiveness. "Gomen na sai! Gomen, gomen, gomen!" She stood up straight, taking Gretta's hands, "I am so sorry, Gretta!"
"Girl, chill. That probably the most entertaining thing that'll happen all class."
"Right.." She bowed once more, this time less deep before looking at her wand. "Are you sure you don't want to go?"
"I'd probably make blood come out of your mouth or some shit, you should keep going."
This time, her pronunciation was much better, but it was still off. Not having the letter "l" in her first language and a language she spoke more than English on a regular basis, pronouncing it could prove to be hard. Ayame hung her head as she heard Gretta able to speak half of her words, with random quacks still in there. This was hopeless, wasn't it?

| Ajax shook his head, really, shouldn't the girl's mother... aunt... whatever, make sure the girl could speak the spells first? French, Italian, Spanish- all three derived from latin, maybe Japanese was harder? Perhaps he could search for a different spell... one that was in Japanese and easier to pronounce? That was something to think about. But, right now, he had to help this girl with the Silencio spell... one of the easiest. He resisted the urge to slap himself.
So, with a flick of his wand, he cured the Greta girl of her unfortunate quacks- casting a critical eye to Ayame, before starting to mutter to himself. And, with a wicked grin, green eyes sparkling- he flicked his wand once more, making a slim book that looked like it was for Kindergarteners rather than a teacher. fly quickly from its place in the large bookshelf... a bookshelf that had a rather powerful Notice-me-not Charm on it. Silently, he flipped through the pages and grinned again.
"Alright." He murmured before flicking his wand, then twirling it a little at the end. A bright glow started at the tip, making several people look over as the light bounced from the tip to Ayame's face. The orb wiggled its way to her forehead before sinking in. And, with a satisfied grin yawn, Ajax closed the book with a small smirk. "There. That should help you with the way you pronounce your words. It's a product of a translation spell. A product because if I used the whole thing, you would have forgotten how to speak English instead of learning some of it."
He sat back down, not knowing when he stood up, waiting for the girl to try again. "Go for it."
