Madam Allen looked around the library, taking in her new work place. It was her first year teaching at Hogwarts and in her opinion the library looked a tad dull. She glanced admiringly at the stacks of books but Amy was dissapointed that the room was devoid of sunlight and that all the couches were old and dusty.
Amy shook her head to clear her thoughts of redecorations and ways to liven up the small, quiet haven. "First things first," she muttered quietly.
She picked up the piece of parchment that was resting on the main desk and glanced down at the neat cursive. It read,
'A notice for all students,
Just a reminder that the restricted section is out of bounds unless you have a signed permission slip from a teacher. Before borrowing the book please make sure you have the required information.

She placed it on the door to the library and waved her wand, quietly saying a spell. She stepped back to look at her handiwork and nodded in approval.
Amy turned away from the door and allowed herself a small smile. "Now to spice up this room a bit!"
