Hazel screeched, rushing through the Common Room and into the dorms, she took it to an all-out sprint as she reached the top stair to the Girl's Dormitory and reached the room within seconds. Wind padded up behind her, her cat always the calmer of the two. She scooped him up and flung herself onto one of the beds, pulling out her wand and waving it.
It felt so good to be back, to be free of Andy and finally home. She liked that word while at Hogwarts, home but never in London. With her dad and Corrine, she was in a house but it was never home and never would be. This was where she was free. And freedom... freedom is bliss. She could use magic again, learn so much more and it was even the Triwizard Tournament this year.
It was times like these that she wondered how she got through summer, spending the whole time pleading with her "parents". About how they shouldn't make her babysit, how she needs money for school, how she wants to go to Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley. But now... she doesn't have to worry about that. Instead, lessons and homework will cram her mind. And the young Ravenclaw smiled to herself, she couldn't wait to get started.
