Getting comfortable at Flourish and Blotts (Open) Empty

Shopping in Diagon Alley was always a nightmare. With the bustling crowds, screaming children, and seedy looking wizards selling questionable stock on the side of the road, Erika was was relieved she had left her father at home. He would have taken one look at the crowds and blanched, pulling Erika back through the Leaky Cauldron and telling her they'd go the next day instead. Her dad hated crowds. She pushed past a skinny little man waving leaflets in her face and opened the door to her favourite shop, Flourish and Blotts.

The shop was cool, it was a welcome relief after fighting her way through the throng of people under the hot sun. She slipped her supply list from her pocket and began to read through the set book list.
'Standard Book of Spells (Grade 7) by Miranda Goshawk' was first on the list.
Erika looked over to the sales assistant. The tall, gangly man was currently being harassed by some worn-out looking mother who was simultaneously asking the assistant questions and keeping a tight hold on the collars of her two children. Oh well, Erika thought. I'll just find the book myself. And she slipped between the large bookcases to begin her search.

By a happy coincidence she had stumbled right into the charms section. Thinking she had a couple of minutes to spare, she picked up a random book from the shelves, plopped herself into a big comfortable armchair, and began to read.

With five minutes she was completely immersed. Erika had always had a talent for tuning people out, and she did just that as she curled up into the arm chair. Completely forgetting where she was, she kicked her shoes off and tucked them under her, and settled in as if she would have at home.

Three minutes. Then five. Then ten. All the way up to thirty. Exactly how long Alastair had waited for the woman and her two whining children to move out of his way already and let him talk to the sales assistant. He'd tried a few 'excuse me's and 'ma'am?'s, but he found it wasn't working, so that he was left standing behind them and fighting hard to stop himself from saying something quite mean to her. He could easily do that and make somebody cry; so it was best to keep his mouth shut.

Seeing as he was getting nowhere by checking his watch every five minutes and tapping his foot against the cold floor, the young boy growled lowly and stepped around them, deciding that he would just try and find it for himself...or ask for some help from somebody else who would have seemed to know their way around the shop. Ugh, shopping for school was such a bother! And what with his parents always at home taking care of little Timmy, there was no way that they'd join him and help him get his school supplies. Plus, it's not like he could ask his biological parents to come with him; they were probably somewhere else with Blair. In times like these, a little help from his twin sister didn't sound that bad.

So what did he need? Oh yeah, it was that grade 7 book thing by Miranda whats-her-face. Yeah, so he never paid attention to titles or authors and all that shit. It was when he saw one of the books by her that he remembered which it was, but grade 7 instead. So he looked around, but was unable to find it. Shows how smart the brunette was when he was staring at a Quidditch players book out of the corner of his eye. But Alastair chose to forget, and instead he looked around and tried to find somebody that could help him. His eyes landed on a girl that seemed to be caught up in reading some random book, but he walked over anyway even though there was a big chance that he'd annoy her if he interrupted her.

"Hello?" A few minutes passed. "Yo, got a minute? I'm tryin'a find Standard Book of Spells (Grade 7) by Miranda Goshawk, got any idea where the hell can I find it in this place?"
